*NO LONGER AVAILABLE* Gibson Les Paul Recording Model Natural, 1972

Built from 1971 to 1979, the Gibson Les Paul Recording model sported the features most desired by Les Paul himself, but unfortunately this did not translate into sales success. Still, even this low selling model was copied by Japanese builders during the ‘Lawsuit Era’. Constructed during the Norlin years with strong references to the original Les Paul Custom models, the Gibson Les Paul Recording model featured a Mahogany body with carved Mahogany top – unlike the Gold Top and Standard models, which had Maple caps on a Mahogany slab. At this point, Gibson was using what’s come to be called ‘Pancake’ bodies, with at least two narrower layers of Mahogany.

SOLD Taylor 214ce BLK DLX

The Taylor 214ce BLK DLX is an excellent multipurpose guitar with an eye catching all black finish. The grand auditorium body works well for fingerstyle and light to medium strumming with a good amount of volume production. The solid Sitka spruce top of the Taylor 214ce BLK DLX has a great dynamic range and clear balanced tone.

❌SOLD❌ Fender Stratocaster 1961 Sunburst

Here is a wonderful rarity – a Fender Stratocaster 1961 model in its original sunburst and with a Rosewood ‘slab’ fingerboard on a Maple neck with heavy Birds-Eye figuring. Introduced in 1954 as a follow up to the highly successful Telecaster, the Stratocaster had only minor alterations until mid 1959 when it gained a major new feature – a Rosewood fingerboard – taken from the new-for-1958 Jazzmaster.

❌SOLD❌ Fender American Standard Precision Bass Sunburst, 2015

From 1987 to 2017 when the American Standard line was replaced by American Professionals , the Fender American Standard Precision Bass was the ‘Standard’ model of the bass whose 1951 introduction changed the way music is presented, performed and recorded. At the time Leo Fender introduced a bass to match the quickly-accepted Telecaster and Esquire models, bass parts were normally played on acoustic, upright basses.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES335 Dot Thinline Heritage Cherry, 2012

The Gibson ES335 Dot reissue draws from the groundbreaking 1958 ES-335 that blended archtop and solidbody guitar styles. Gaining immediate acceptance by players in many genres, this model has been in production continuously since its introduction. Here we’re looking at what looks like a ‘Plain Top’ version of the Gibson ES335 Dot, built at the now-closed Gibson Memphis plant and dating to June 7, 2012. In terms of construction and hardware, these are identical to the much more expensive ‘Figured Top’ models; the difference is the figuring on the Maple laminates used for the top, sides and back.
