Based on a Rosewood-capped Basswood body paired with an asymmetrical, oil-finish birds-eye Maple neck, the Ernie Ball MusicMan Axis SuperSport LTD hard tail delivers straight ahead performance. Here we’re looking at a 2008 model Erie Ball MusicMan Axis Super Sport, built in San Luis Opispo, California. This is an LTD or Limited Edition model featuring an Indian Rosewood cap on a comfort contoured Basswood body, a pair of humbuckers and the optional hard tail bridge

Taking very clear cues from the classic and proven 1950’s designs, the G&L ASAT looks like an ‘improved’ Telecaster. Notably, the ‘Hard Tail’ bridge addresses a number of vibration issues by adding a set screw to the treble side of the bridge housing. This set screw pushes against the saddles, so that once the saddles are properly adjusted, they lock in place. As well, the larger single coil ‘MFD’ or ‘Modified Field Design’ pickups are Leo’s design, combing ceramic under-coil magnets with soft iron adjustable magnets for each string.

❌SOLD❌ Fender Stratocaster Antigua Maple Neck Hard Tail, 1979

Fender produced the Stratocaster Antigua in limited numbers during the 1970’s. This unusual finish is like a grey to pale yellow sunburst, often with a greenish tint. The Antigua finish started as a way to fix a problem with burned binding on Coronados, and was extended to other models. Here we have a hard tail, maple neck version of the 1979 Stratocaster Antigua. Built in Fullerton, California while CBS still owned Fender, this guitar is in good, all original condition.

Here we have an Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport Hard Tail from 2016, in Trans Red with matching headstock! These use the proven combination of a maple cap on a basswood body and maple neck, with a pair of DiMarzio humbuckers. This example is in great condition, with just the lightest markings on the polyester finish. Wear is completely minimal, and the asymmetric neck feels great. The original hard shell case is included.

The Melancon Pro Artist T is built by Gerard Melancon, who works out of Thibodaux, Louisiana and combines the elements of a Tele and a Strat, ‘Like a 57 Chevy with power steering and power brakes!’ Melancon grew up with lots of great Cajun and country music both in his family and in the surrounding area, gigged with a number of rock bands and played sessions before gradually shifting to guitar building. He now builds many custom, high quality electric guitars with excellent finishes.
