Godin Multiac ACS Denim Blue Flame

Godin Multiac ACS Denim Blue Flame

The Godin Multiac ACS SA in Denim Blue Flame is a direct descendant of a Chet Atkins idea and is intended as a ‘crossover’ guitar for those coming to nylon strings from the electric world.    With this in mind, the neck is slightly narrower than a Classical or Flamenco guitar, and the fingerboard is crowned.   The chambered body and solid neck of the Godin ACS SA are Mahogany,  with a Richlite fingerboard – a composite material that does a good job of simulating Ebony.  The top of this model is a figured Maple Veneer with a lovely translucent denim blue shade, providing an unusual and quite attractive appearance.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson TG-0 Tenor Guitar Natural Mahogany, 1963

❌SOLD❌ Gibson TG-0 Tenor Guitar Natural Mahogany, 1963

The Gibson TG-0 tenor guitar was built during two periods and two forms, but was always a relatively simple Mahogany top 4-string acoustic. The first TG-0 was based on the L-0 from 1927 to 1933, and the second based on the LG-0 from 1960 to 1974. Here we’re looking at a second series Gibson TG-0 dating to 1963 at the Kalamazoo plant, and draws directly from the LG-0 model. These guitars use Mahogany for the top, back sides with Spruce bracing, and Mahogany for the neck but a Rosewood fingerboard.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Herb Ellis Plus ES-165 Sunburst, 2004

Signature models are sometimes unusual, as is the case with the Gibson Herb Ellis Plus – the two pickup version of the Herb Ellis ES-165, built from 1991 to 2013. The late Herb Ellis was one of the more prominent American Jazz guitarists, and his 1943 spot in Glen Gray’s Casa Loma Orchestra (that name is meaningful to those in Toronto, but it seems the band is not related to the Gothic Casa Loma mansion) brought him to the attention of the jazz world.

The late Tal Farlow was one of the great, influential American jazz guitarists and his signature Gibson archtop electric attests to his skill and the size of his hands! The Gibson Tal Farlow, unlike most other Gibson archtops, uses a full 25.5 inch scale length neck on a full 17 inch wide body. The Tal Farlow first appeared in 1962, based on the ES-350 Farlow had used in the 1950’s but with humbucking pickups, figured woods, J-200 style inlays, a
