Introduced in 1991 after several years of consultation and development, the Fender Jeff Beck Stratocaster has a number of features tailored to Beck’s playing style. In particular, the trem system components are selected and adjusted to allow the smoothest string movement and best return to pitch, without going to a full double locking trem system. Here we’re looking at a Fender Jeff Beck Stratocaster in very good, clean condition, built during 2016 in Corona California and sporting a Surf Green finish.

The Fender Jeff Beck Stratocaster, built since 1991, honors one of the more innovative and versatile rock guitarists.  Jeff Beck has been working since the early 1960s and has appeared on countless stages and recordings. 
Drawing from a standard model, the Fender Jeff Beck Stratocaster features an Alder body and Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard.  However, in the interests of stage performance and tuning stability, this model also features locking (Sperzel) tuners, an LSR Roller nut, two-point trem and hot Noiseless pickups.

The Fender Jeff Beck Stratocaster, here as an Olympic White 2006 custom shop build, recognizes Beck’s needs for sonic versatility and tuning stability. Unusually for top flight rock players, Jeff Beck plays fingerstyle, without picks, and his heavy use of the trem bridge is part of his unmistakable sound. In the mid 1960’s, Jeff Beck was one of three top English players closely associated with the Telecaster – Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page were the other two.
