Gibson 1950s J50 Antique Natural, 2000

Here’s a great condition Gibson 1950s J50 in Antique Natural, built during June of 2000 at Gibson Acoustic in beautiful Bozeman, Montana. The Gibson J50 was introduced in 1947, as the end of WW2 allowed access to more and better materials. The J-50 was marketed as a ‘blonde’ or natural finish version of the very successful J-45, itself introduced in 1942, and carried a higher price.

Gibson Hummingbird Faded Cherry Sunburst, 2007

The Gibson Hummingbird is one of the most recognizable guitar models with its square-shoulder dreadnought body and distinctive hand-painted pickguard. Introduced in 1960 to compete with Martin’s square shoulder guitars, the Hummingbird debuted at the second highest price for Gibson acoustics just below the J-200. It has been used by many top artists on countless recordings and stages. The Hummingbird features a Sitka Spruce top paired with tropical Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck. Indian Rosewood is used for the bridge and bound fingerboard.

Gibson HP415 CEX Cutaway Walnut Body Steel String, 2017

Part of the High Performance series introduced for the 2017 model year and currently out of production, the Gibson HP 415 CEX pairs a Sitka Spruce top and Black Walnut for the sides, back, rectangular bridge and fingerboard. The neck is Maple, and the body blocks are Mahogany. As stock, this model carried an L R Baggs Element pickup system, with the controls tucked under the bass edge of the sound hole.

Collings Orchestra Model OM1 Natural, 2008

Drawing from a classic 1930s design, the Collings Orchestra Model OM1 is ideal for finger stylists and flatpickers alike. This Collings Orchestra Model OM1 dates to 2008 and is in good condition, with great action and a good neck set. This model is built using the pairing of a Sitka Spruce top with Tropical Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck, and Ebony for the bridge fingerboard and head plate.

Larrivee LV09 Florentine Cutaway Guitar, 1987

The Larrivee LV09 is a full bodied steel string cutaway guitar, pairing a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood for the back, sides and head plate. The neck is Mahogany, with Ebony for the bridge and bound fingerboard. Here, the headstock carries a ‘Pegasus’ engraved inlay executed in Mother of Pearl and Abalone. As well, the head stock is bounded by an inlaid silver strip, a design idea from Tony Duggan-Smith that’s still featured on Larrivee models. The tuners are gold plated Grover Imperial models with the Deco Stair-Step metal buttons.
