Original Case
Once in a while we come across significant instruments like this, almost entirely original, 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Sunburst. Often regarded as one of the Grail treasures of the guitar world, this is an instrument that hardly needs introduction. This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard was purchased new in 1960, and has had one owner until recently. Decades ago it suffered a headstock break, which was solidly repaired at the time. We have cleaned up the aesthetics of that repair.

MORE →The 3-tone Sunburst Fender 1965 Precision bass with Rosewood fingerboard, is in very good, original condition including both bridge and pickup covers and original case. Pairing an Alder body with a Maple neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard, this classic bass carries all its original components (except strings). The original, black rectangular Fender hard shell case is included, and contains the bridge and pickup covers. This Fender 1965 Precision is something of a transitional model, as it has an Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia sissoo) fingerboard.

MORE →Here is a Fender Jazz Bass Natural refinish, with body and neck built towards the end of 1965 but assembled, wired and sold in early 1966. The Jazz Bass was introduced in 1960, as Leo Fender’s second distinct bass after the two versions of the Precision Bass. Targeted towards Jazz players and taking design cues from the then-new Jazzmaster and Jaguar models, particularly the offset body, the Jazz Bass offered a brighter, more focused tone with less fundamental than the Precision Bass along with a much narrower neck.
