This Larrivee LV-09 Steel String Guitar dates to January of 2000, and pairs Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood. The Larrivee LV-09 uses the classically – influenced L-body developed in Toronto, but with a rounded Venetian cutaway. The classical influence extends to the 25.59 or 650mm scale length, the standard for most classical guitars.

Here we have a Marc Beneteau Cutaway steel string acoustic guitar combining Spruce and Mahogany, built during 1988 in St. Thomas, Ontario. Marc Beneteau has been building guitars since 1974 and his instruments are well built and well respected,  and used by stellar players like Don Ross.  This Marc Beneteau Cutaway pairs a Sitka Spruce top with Tropical Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck. and uses Indian Rosewood for the bridge and unbound fingerboard. The body binding is Satinwood and the cutaway style is Florentine.

First appearing in 1938, the J-200 was immediately adopted by major country players. The original selling price was $200, with a $50 upcharge to have your name inlaid in the fingerboard. The J-200 has sometimes been named the SJ-200 (Super Jumbo), and outside of the war years 1944 to 1946, has been in regular production since its introduction.
