Based on the classic 1930’s ‘Duolian’ style design, this National Raw Series is a single-cone, 12-fret Resophonic guitar with the ‘Raw ‘ wax finish. The first instruments built by the National String Instrument Corporation were the famous Tri-Cone models and were invented to address the need for more volume in a time before electric amplification.

Part of the NRP ‘Raw Series’ line, the National Raw Steel 12 Fret Reso-Phonic guitar delivers a vintage-style look and sound in a modern and more affordable package. Here we’re looking at a National Raw Steel 12 fret model, with a label date of 06/20 for June of 2020. It is in overall good condition, with the wear and oxidation expected for a raw steel finish. It plays well, and has the unmistakable National tone, volume and presence.
