❌SOLD❌ National Style 1 Tricone Resophonic Guitar, 1929

This National Style 1 Tricone has a 12-fret ‘Spanish’ or round neck and dates to 1929, and was built at the National shop in Los Angeles. All of these guitars had 12-fret necks until 1934, at which point the influence of banjo players migrating to guitar prompted an industry shift to 14-fret necks. This guitar is in good condition and is fully playable – it has just been serviced at The Twelfth Fret Repair Shop, with a neck reset, fret dress, setup, brace repair and new cones.

Deering White Lotus 5 String Banjo White Oak

Deering White Lotus 5 String Banjo White Oak

The Deering White Lotus 5-String Banjo by Deering is a resonator back model with no exotic woods, just White Oak and Maple. The bluegrass inspired White Lotus banjo, named for its lotus flower inspired inlay pattern, is centered around the patented white oak rim. Notably lacking a traditional heavy tone ring, the natural white oak rim closely recreates a bright, crisp bluegrass punch, ushering in a new era in playing comfort and sound for today’s banjo player.

Introduced in 1954 and offered until the devastating Nashville floods of 2010, the Gibson Mastertone RB 250 was the workhorse banjo for countless serious players. Airline Folkstar Electric Resophonic Guitar by Eastwood, Red

Airline Folkstar Electric Resophonic Guitar by Eastwood, Red

The Airline Folkstar, improved and re-issued by the Eastwood guitar company, brings back the 1950s Valco Folkstar resophonic aesthetic, but with a pair of pickups and a reasonable price.  Airline guitars were built by Valco, one of the largest instrument manufacturers in the world, from 1958 to 1868 when the company folded. The original Airline Folkstar used Valco’s Res-O-Glas body construction – fiberglass resin on wood – with a single resonator cone. It was entirely acoustic, and never had pickups
