Here we have the brand-new Fintan McEnroe FinMc MC16 F-style mandolin from Fintan McEnroe, working in Toronto but originally from Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan, Ireland. The ‘16’ in the name refers to the mandolin serial number and production sequence. This fine instrument was very recently finished, in January of 2023.

Built in Montreal PQ during 2010, this Greenfield C1 Classical Guitar features a Red Cedar and Rosewood pairing and plenty of advanced features and options. Some of the features on this Greenfield C1 model are no longer listed as available options. The top is Red Cedar, carrying a Spalted Maple and Paua rosette and is paired with a Lutz Spruce lattice bracing.

The Fintan McEnroe Fin MC14 is a traditional F-Style mandolin, with a carved Sitka Spruce top and Curly Maple for the sides, neck and carved back.
The Hill Torres 1856 classical guitar is a high quality version of one of the seminal classical guitars. It’s not strictly a reproduction, given the use of modern parts and even a truss rod! Antonio de Torres was born on 13 June 1817 in Almería, Andalucía, At 12 in 1829 he began an apprenticeship to a carpenter. In 1833 he was conscripted into an army, but was rejected for medical reasons.

MORE →Here we are looking at a Kenny Hill Hauser 37 Classical guitar, built during 2005 in Ben Lomond California. Kenny Hill has been building since the mid 1970s and is highly respected. The Hauser 37 model recreates a guitar played for many years by Andres Segovia. This Kenny Hill Hauser 37 model features a European Spruce top, Indian Rosewood sides, back, headplate and bridge, with a Mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. The headstock features a traditional style V joint. The scale length is 650mm and the nut width 51.3mm or 2.02 inches.

MORE →This lovely Lawrence Nyberg Cittern pairs a Redwood top and Black Walnut for the sides, back, and back strap (an extra layer on the back of the head). The neck is Mahogany, with Ebony used for the fingerboard and its binding, bridge, and the head plate. A K&K pickup is installed and connected to and end pin jack. Unusually for an instrument of this type, a steel string guitar-style ebony pin bridge is used rather than a floating bridge with an additional tailpiece.
