This wonderful piece uses its original parts though some work has been done around the guitar over the years. The sunburst finish has worn through to the base clear sealer coats where the player has contacted and rested against the surface.

The Gibson Les Paul Custom in Black is an iconic and aspirational guitar, used in every genre where solidbody models are accepted. When introduced as the ‘Black Beauty’ in 1954, the idea was that it would be appropriate for a guitarist dressed in a tuxedo. It’s stayed at the top of the line, but has been used by punk bands as well.

This Roscoe Century Standard 5 String Fretless Bass is in natural finish, and built during 2014 in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is a somewhat long scale bass at 35 inches, with the longer scale used to improve definition on the lower notes of the 5th string. In terms of construction, the Roscoe Century Standard 5 is a bolt-on design with a Swamp Ash body and a 3-piece quartersawn Maple neck with Graphite inserts and an Ebony fingerboard, with metal-filled fret slots for accuracy.

Here we’re looking at a Gibson S1 built in Nashville TN, with a date of April 19 1978. This guitar is built exclusively of Maple, used for the three-piece body, three-piece neck, and fingerboard. This example is in largely original condition, except for the bridge pickup. Some time ago, the original single coil was removed, put in the case, and replaced with what looks like a Duncan Hot Rails.

The Rickenbacker Model 360 is an iconic instrument designed by Roger Rossmeisl in 1958 as a flat-topped, thin hollow body model with top and back binding. Halfway through 1964, the Rickenbacker Model 360 gained a New Style body to further differentiate the 360 from the 330. The New Style body is Maple, but has a chambered top with very rounded edges and integrated sides.
