The PRS Custom 22 10 Top is a spectacular guitar in any finish, and the Black Cherry stain on this 1994 example is stunning. The Custom 22 was first based on the PRS Dragon, but without the fancier inlay or trem. In 2015, the stoptail bridge was discontinued and the trem bridge took its place. Introduced in 1993 and built till 2009 and again since 2013, the PRS Custom 22 uses proven construction and materials – a carved Maple top on a double-cutaway Mahogany back, with a Mahogany neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard.

The Reverend Spacehawk is a sealed, semi-hollow signature model for Reeves Gabrels, known for his work with The Cure, Tin Machine and David Bowie. Built with a Maple top on a hollowed Korina back and Korina set neck with Ebony fingerboard, the Reverend Spacehawk makes a visually bold statement.
Here’s a PRS Tremonti HardTail Signature model, dating to 2015 and in exceptionally good, clean condition; the original pickups are in the case and PRS 59/09 models installed. Based on the classic PRS Single cut design, the PRS Tremonti HardTail Signature features a carved Maple cap on a solid Mahogany slab body, paired with a Mahogany neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard. The characteristic PRS bird inlays are executed in Mother of Pearl and Abalone.
Introduced in 1976, the Yamaha SG2000 was considered perhaps the finest solidbody guitar from Japan – perhaps from anywhere – for its time. This design was the result of a collaboration between Yamaha and Carlos Santana to improve the Yamaha SG175. The result became the flagship of the Yamaha electric line until 1988. Around 1983, Gibson gave legal notice to Yamaha over the use of the ‘SG’ term, and Yamaha responded by changing the name for US models to SBG for Solid Body Guitar. However, in Japan, the SG name stayed until 1988 when the model was discontinued.

MORE →Here’s a PRS Custom 22 20th Anniversary Special from 2005 with Stop Tail bridge, Dragon II pickups and a Brown Burst finish! The PRS Custom 22 is based on the early Dragon series, with a distinctly elegant double cutaway, carved Figured Maple on Mahogany body. The set neck is Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, and here there’s no separate head plate. For the year 2005, the PRS Custom 22 20th Anniversary added a new Abalone bird inlay that soars across the fingerboard, and a 20th Anniversary truss rod cover.
