Eastman SB55DC /V Solidbody Electric Vintage Varnish

Eastman SB55DC /V Solidbody Electric Vintage Varnish

Here is an Eastman SB55DC /V Solidbody in Vintage Varnish!  This definitely evokes the mid 1950’s slab bodied models, and with top quality hardware. Introduced in mid 2020 and now making its way to us, the Eastman SB55DC /V features a slab body and neck of lightweight Okoume Mahogany, sourced from Gabon, Central Africa. The fingerboard, head plate and truss rod cover are Ebony, and that’s it for woods used.

Gibson 57 Reissue Les Paul Junior Faded Cherry, 2007

Gibson 57 Reissue Les Paul Junior Faded Cherry, 2007

The Gibson 57 Reissue Les Paul Junior is a re-creation of one of the popular entry level Les Paul, introduced in 1954. Here we’re looking at a Gibson 57 Reissue Les Paul Junior in a Faded Cherry nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Like its source, this guitar is simply built with Mahogany slab body, a Mahogany neck with full ‘baseball bat’ neck profile and an Indian Rosewood fingerboard – the 1950s originals would have used Brazilian Rosewood. This guitar has been played, and there’s an amount of ‘buckle rash’ on the back.

Fender 1953 Precision Bass Blonde

Fender 1953 Precision Bass Blonde

Here is a real treat – a Fender 1953 Precision Bass, an early example of one of the most influential instruments ever built. The revolutionary introduction of the solidbody and fretted Precision Bass allowed bassists to follow guitarists in accuracy of pitch and precision tuning, and also in the area of stage volume through amplification without feedback. Without this innovation, we probably wouldn’t have gone to arenas or festival grounds to see incredibly loud artists.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Junior Sunburst, 1954

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Junior Sunburst, 1954

Here we have a wonderful rarity! One of the first Gibson Les Paul Junior Sunburst models built, from 1954 when the Junior was introduced. Intended as an entry level, student model, the Gibson Les Paul Junior Sunburst – the only finish it came in – was a bare-bones but high quality guitar with Tropical Mahogany for the body and neck, and Rosewood for the fingerboard; for most if not all of the Junior’s production run between 1954 and 1963 when it was discontinued, this meant Brazilian Rosewood. Position markers are simple Mother of Pearl dots.
