Built with a traditional pairing of an Ash body with Maple neck, the American Original 50s Stratocaster brings back the 1959 style, with a single layer pickguard and three matching Pure Vintage ’59 Single-Coil Strat pickups.

Part of the new ‘Stories collection’, this model duplicates Eric Johnson’s 1954 Strat including the modifications he had made over years of use. The Fender EJ Virginia Stratocaster at first glance appears like many others, but a closer look reveals significant differences. Most US-made Fender bodies, especially during the 1950’s, were built of Alder or Swamp Ash.
