❌SOLD❌ Ramirez SP Semi-Professional Spruce Top Classical Guitar, 2003

❌SOLD❌ Ramirez SP Semi-Professional Spruce Top Classical Guitar, 2003

The Ramirez SP, now the Semi-Professional model, bridges the ‘Estudio’ and ‘Handcraft’ classical guitars and is intended for the accomplished student player about to move to professional status. Like other ‘Estudio’ models, the Semi-Professional is partly built in the city of Madrid at the Ramirez shop – it’s worth noting that Madrid prohibits spray finishing and so that type of finishing is done at shops outside the city limits.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Firebird Studio 2017 T Pelham Blue

The Gibson Firebird Studio 2017 T is a new version of the ‘reverse’ body Firebird, using set neck construction and standard humbucking pickups. Available in Pelham Blue and Vintage Burst, this is a great alternative to an SG. The first Firebirds appeared in 1963 in the ‘Reverse’ body shape – referring to the lower, treble cutaway ‘horn’ being longer than the usual bass side, and with neck-through construction.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Studio Gloss Vintage Burst, 2013

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Studio Gloss Vintage Burst, 2013

This Gibson Les Paul Studio is in great, original condition, with very little wear. It has all the elements of a Les Paul – the maple capped mahogany body (with weight relief) and mahogany neck. The unbound fingerboards are now Granadillo, in response to restrictions on Indian Rosewood; Granadillo is a South American Rosewood that is very commonly used for instruments on the southern continent. The Gibson Les Paul Studio is one of the better deals in quality electric guitars. Built on the same plan and same machines as other Les Paul Models, the Studio lacks binding and often has less elaborate, and less expensive, finishes. This one, dating to August 15 2013 at Nashville, sports a gloss vintage sunburst.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Classic Vintage Sunburst, 2008

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Classic Vintage Sunburst, 2008

The Gibson Les Paul Classic Vintage has been produced over several periods – from 1990 to 1998, then from 2000 to 2008, and currently since 2014. For this example, the model features a weight-relieved or partially chambered body, nicely figured top and a bound headstock. This example dates to a fairly warm Thursday, September 4th, 2008 and was built at the Gibson plant in Nashville, Tennessee. It features a nicely flamed maple top with a dark vintage sunburst finish in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, and the standard Les Paul construction of mahogany body and neck with bound rosewood fingerboard. The head is also bound, a feature otherwise generally found only on the Les Paul Custom. Specific to this model, there are custom routes placed strategically in the body to reduce weight and provide resonance.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Studio Arctic White, 2013

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Studio Arctic White, 2013

This new, older stock 2013 model Gibson Les Paul Studio in Arctic White. This is a remarkable instrument, using the classic Les Paul design but stripped down in terms of decoration. It is very resonant with lots of sustain, but is light and well balanced. And, because it’s a Studio model, it’s considerably less expensive than a Les Paul Standard, Classic, Traditional or Custom, though it is made in the USA, in the same Gibson Nashville, Tennessee facility.
For added tonal versatility, the two volume control pots are push-pull models, wired to activate a tap on the Gibson USA Modern Classic pickups – a 490R in the neck position and a 498T at the bridge.

❌SOLD❌ David Wren Studio Guitar, 1981

❌SOLD❌ David Wren Studio Guitar, 1981

The David Wren Studio line was made during the early 1980’s as a simpler, lower-priced ‘standard production’ alternative to the rather more expensive custom order models that most builders create. These models feature a spruce top and mahogany back and sides with ebony bridge, maple binding, and a mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard.
