The Ibanez RG1027PBF Premium is a seven string version of their very popular RG body shape. This double cutaway body has sleek sharp lines and high quality features. The body is made from American basswood which is a fairly light weight wood with a growly warm tone with good midrange presence. The poplar burl top is very alluring particularly with the Cerulean blue burst finish. The neck is a multi piece neck made from Panga Panga, maple, walnut and purple heart. The multi wood neck adds stability and the Wizard 7 profile has a very solid feel and is fast playing but not too thin.
Superstrat
The Ibanez RG421 03 model is a familiar looking guitar commonly referred to as a “Superstrat”. This name comes from their appearance, similar to the Fender Stratocaster, but with features extending function beyond Fender’s stock models. This model from Ibanez sharpens its lines to give it a more modern appearance, and unlike many ‘Superstrat’ versions uses a fixed or ‘Hard Tail’ bridge rather than a trem or vibrato. The Ibanez RG421 is a simple looking well thought out guitar.
Built in Scarborough – the eastern part of Toronto – around 1991, this Lado Supra 1 shows off the quality of Joseph Kovacic’s work in building Superstrat style guitars. Here we’re looking at a Lado Supra 1, a single pickup version of the Supra. It features Lado’s typican neck through design with elegantly sculptured heel. There’s no restriction on access to the upper frets on these.
