Taylor 150e 12 String Acoustic Maple Walnut

Taylor 150e 12 String Acoustic Maple Walnut

The Taylor 150e model is a 12 string dreadnought body size with a solid Sitka spruce top and layered walnut sides and back. The bass response and volume created from this large body pairs well with the crisp shimmering octave strings and articulate dynamics of the solid Sitka spruce top. For many players the lush octave shimmer of a 12 string dreadnought guitar is a familiar and inspiring sound. However, it is often a secondary instrument behind the player’s trusted six string. The Taylor 150e introduces an affordable 12 string to the 100 series of instruments for players looking to broaden their musical palette.

Taylor 814ce DLX Steel String Guitar, Natural

Taylor 814ce DLX Steel String Guitar, Natural

The Taylor 814ce DLX is a luxurious Grand Auditorium body shape which pairs a Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood sides and back with Taylor’s patented V-Class bracing to reach new levels of tonal performance. One of Taylor’s most popular shapes, the Grand Auditorium body is a versatile general-purpose guitar. Its width is similar to a dreadnought but with a much curvier shape which changes the response and dynamics. It is equally well suited to fingerstyle or strumming so you can use it for many different styles.

❌SOLD❌ Taylor 514ce Cedar and Mahogany Steel String, 2016

❌SOLD❌ Taylor 514ce Cedar and Mahogany Steel String, 2016

The Taylor 514ce Cedar and Mahogany steel string guitar has been in Taylor’s line since its introduction in 1998.  Using a Grand Auditorium body,  its pairing of a Western Red Cedar top with Central American Mahogany make it a great choice for fingerstylists. Red Cedar is used on many classical guitars due to its warmth and responsiveness to the dynamic nuances of fingerstyle playing, and is tonally balanced by the articulation, sparkle and midrange presence of the Mahogany sides and back.   With playing,  Cedar also develops its voice fairly quickly compared to Spruce.

❌SOLD❌ Taylor 712 with Fishman Pickup, 1997

❌SOLD❌ Taylor 712 with Fishman Pickup, 1997

Here’s a lovely Taylor 712 from 1997, before pickups were stock, and it’s a very nice guitar for fingerstyle playing – well rounded with full, evenly balanced tone. The Taylor 712 in this form is no longer available. The 712 is now mostly presented as the Taylor 712 ce, for Cutaway Electric, and most often in 12-fret neck format, with slotted peghead. However, the construction has the same basis in the Grand Concert body, roughly equivalent to a Martin OOO body size. It features a Sitka Spruce top paired with Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, Mahogany for the body blocks, linings and neck, and Ebony for the bridge and bound fingerboard.

❌SOLD❌ Taylor T5 C2 Ebony Top Thinline, 2008

❌SOLD❌ Taylor T5 C2 Ebony Top Thinline, 2008

The Taylor T5 C2 is now discontinued in favour of other T5 models, but is an excellent example of form meeting functional needs – its original purpose was to take the place of multiple instruments on a tour stage. Here we’re looking at a Taylor T5 C2 model with a strikingly figured Ebony top, built during 2008 at the Taylor plant in El Cajon, California. The finish itself is very clean and only very lightly marked. The hardware is gold plated, and the inlays are a mix of Abalone, acrylic and Mother of Pearl.
