The new Martin 000-28 Modern Deluxe draws from the well of the 000 body design, and adds both new and old technologies, including natural glues, a titanium truss rod, and Martin’s VTS aging method. As on the classic 000-28, the pairing of a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood sides and back on the Martin 000-28 Modern Deluxe produces a rich and full-bodied tone with plenty of complex overtones.

The C F Martin D-28 has for many decades been one of the benchmarks for acoustic guitars, and the brand-new Martin D-28 Modern Deluxe brings new features to this venerable design. Originally introduced around 1911 as a large model for the Ditson company, the D-28 reappeared in the 1930s and has been in production ever since. There have been a number of changes over the years – notably, Brazilian Rosewood has not been used since the early 1970’s – but the core design is unchanged.
