❌SOLD❌ Fender Broadcaster® 70th Anniversary Blonde 2020

❌SOLD❌ Fender Broadcaster® 70th Anniversary Blonde 2020

The new, limited edition Fender Broadcaster® 70th Anniversary recreates an historic instrument, one of the very first successful solidbody electric guitars. The first Fender Broadcaster® was built for less than a year, from mid 1950 to early 1951, in a quantity of perhaps 250. At that point, the Gretsch company filed a copyright claim to protect their Broadkaster drum line. For immediate response Fender simply cut the word ‘Broadcaster’ from the decal, and these models are known as ‘NoCasters’. For the latter part of 1951, once the modified ‘NoCaster’ decals were used up, new ‘Telecaster’ decals started to appear.

DISCONTINUED! Fender American Professional Jazzmaster Mystic Seafoam

The Fender American Professional Jazzmaster in Mystic Seafoam is part of Fender’s modernization of many of its top end models. Originally introduced in 1958 and marketed towards Jazz guitars the Jazz master quickly became popular with surf rock guitars of the 60’s. It later caught on with all types of players that liked its unique appearance and fat sound.

❌SOLD❌ Fender Stratocaster Hard Tail Sunburst, 1978

❌SOLD❌ Fender Stratocaster Hard Tail Sunburst, 1978

Here we have a Fender Stratocaster HardTail, built at the Fullerton plant during 1978, during the CBS era. The HardTail version was made from 1955 until 2006, when poor sales caused Fender to drop the HardTail model. The two Stratocaster versions are very similar, but the fixed hardtail bridge model doesn’t have the large cavity routed on the back for the trem block and springs. Without that cavity and the spring components, the Fender Stratocaster HardTail tends to have a bit more sustain and note-to-note clarity and separation, as with the Telecaster. Of course, this means it does not have the ‘built-in reverb’ contributed by the springs, whether the bridge is set to trem use, or fully tightened down for tuning stability.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson EDS 1275 Doubleneck Guitar Cherry, 1997

❌SOLD❌ Gibson EDS 1275 Doubleneck Guitar Cherry, 1997

This is one of the most recognizable guitars in the world, though it is not common – the Gibson EDS 1275 Doubleneck has become an iconic instrument seen in larger shows. EDS stands for Electric Double Spanish, with Spanish referring to the way the guitar is held – as distinct from Hawaiian or lap models.  Most of the double neck models we see are copies, but this is the real deal! The concept of the double neck guitar may draw from the Harp Guitar, which appeared in the early 19th century, and from the very few double neck guitars from the 17th century. Gibson began producing a few double neck instruments in the late 1950’s, including a semi-hollow, carved spruce topped model with lower 6-string and upper octave necks.
