Here is a Halcyon Grand Auditorium Cutaway with a Lutz Spruce top and figured Walnut for the sides, back, body binding and head plate, and built by Ed Bond in East Vancouver around 2020. Aside from the Lutz Spruce and Figured Walnut, the body blocks and neck are Mahogany, with Ebony for the fingerboard and bridge.

The Larrivee LV-09 uses the classically – influenced L-body developed in Toronto, but with a rounded Venetian cutaway. The classical influence extends to the 25.59 or 650mm scale length, the standard for most classical guitars.

The body binding is Maple while, in this period, the fingerboard binding is grained ivoroid. The finish is natural satin.
