First appearing in 1962, the Gibson B-25-12-N 12 string acoustic guitar found wide acceptance during the 1960’s folk boom. The smaller B-series body is very well balanced tonally, and the price point was lowered by use of mahogany laminate for the sides, while the top and back were solid wood.
This example was built at the historic Gibson plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan during 1963. It is in good overall and original condition. It features a rosewood bridge and adjustable saddle; many later versions had a plastic bridge and adjustable ceramic saddle. It has no cracks or repairs, though there is play wear and dings and marks that are to be expected of an instrument of this age, that was actually used as intended.
The original fibre (faux-gator cardboard) has not survived and is not included. Replacement cases could be sourced.
