Alhambra Z-Nature CW E2 Student Cutaway Classical Guitar

The Alhambra Z-Nature CW E2 is part of Alhambra’s Student Cutaway line, intended for advancing students who need a cutaway model for modern repertoire, or for players who want the responsiveness of a nylon string guitar with the versatility of a cutaway.

The Alhambra 5P is built with quality solid and laminate woods, and here we’re seeing it with a solid Red Cedar top and laminated Mahogany for the sides, back, and solid Rosewood for the headplate and bridge. The bracing pattern is Alhambra’s relatively simple ‘classical 3’ style. Bracing patterns become considerably more complex as the guitars move up in price and performance.

The guitar is constructed in the Spanish style with a Mahogany neck, using Indian Rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge.

The Alhambra Z-Nature CW E2 cutaway series have a slightly narrower fingerboard at the nut, 50mm instead of 52, to meet the needs of many of the players who require the cutaway. A full 650mm scale is used, just as with most concert classicals.

As a ‘Z-Nature’ model, the finish is very light and thin and allows the guitar parts to vibrate fully.

This model is equipped with a Fishman II pickup system, placing the controls and integrated tuner on the upper bass side.   The output jack and battery access are on the lower treble side, out of the way for most stands.
