⚌Reduced‼ Beneteau Jumbo Maple Natural, 1999

Instrument Categories: , ,

Here we have a Marc Beneteau Jumbo steel string acoustic guitar combining Spruce and Maple, built during 1999 in St. Thomas, Ontario. Marc Beneteau has been building guitars since 1974 and his instruments are well built and well respected, and used by stellar players like Don Ross.

This Marc Beneteau Jumbo pairs a Sitka Spruce top with figured Maple for the sides, back, and three-piece neck. The body blocks, linings and back braces are Mahogany, while the top braces are Sitka. Ebony is used for the bridge and unbound fingerboard. The head plate and body binding are Indian Rosewood. The top has a faux-tortoise pickguard. The neck joint is a modern hybrid tenon and bolt system, which allows for a much simpler neck reset when that is eventually required.

The finish has wear as expected for a 24-year old instrument.

This Beneteau Jumbo guitar has recently been serviced at The Twelfth Fret Repair Shop. The frets are in great condition and the guitar plays very well.

It is fairly bright and crisp, common to the combination of Sitka Spruce and Maple. It is reasonably loud and projects well, and works nicely for fingerstyle and flatpicking.

The original hard shell case, with some custom paintings on the exterior, is included.
