❌SOLD❌ Boucher Genuine Goose Dreadnought Natural, 2014

Brand:

Instrument Categories: , ,

From the now-discontinued ‘Genuine’ line and built during 2014, this Boucher Genuine Goose Dreadnought features an Adirondack Red Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides.

Delivering a full rich well defined tone backed by plenty of power and projection, this Boucher Genuine Goose Dreadnought is an impressive guitar. It plays well, and really fills the space it’s played in. This guitar can easily co-exist with other acoustic instruments like banjos and mandolins.

This Boucher Genuine Goose Dreadnought starts with Adirondack Spruce for the top and braces, Indian Rosewood for the sides and back, Mahogany for the body blocks and neck, and Ebony for the head plate, bridge and unbound fingerboard. Tuners are sealed models with Boucher branding. There are no electronics, this is a purely acoustic guitar. The inside of the top, under the point of the faux-tortoise pickguard is signed by the builder and dated August 2014. This guitar has been used as intended, but fret wear is on the light side. The finish shows some natural and expected sinking, and has some very light wear though overall the guitar is well preserved.

The original arched top hard shell case is included with this Boucher Genuine Goose.

Boucher guitars are built in Berthier-sur-Mer, Quebec, and are the successors to the Norman guitar line – these excellent and durable guitars were very common in Canada throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s. That brand is now owned by Godin, but Norman Boucher’s son Claude and nephew Robin Boucher kept building under the Boucher name. Their guitars are extremely well built and voiced, and stand up to comparison with any other high end brand.
