C.F. Martin J-40

Instrument Categories: ,

Just arrived! A brand new C. F. Martin J-40. The J-40 features a tight-waisted jumbo body shape, built from a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood for the back and sides. Mahogany is used for the neck, and ebony for the bound fingerboard and bridge.

The Martin J-40 also sports a nice set of inlays – the rosette has a center ring of abalone, the fingerboard uses a reduced hexagon set and the headplate has the C F Martin logo, all in abalone and mother of pearl.

The Martin J-40 is a very comfortable guitar to play. Not as big as a dreadnought but still capable of moving a lot of air, the body design is well balanced both physically and tonally. The low profile neck has a scale length of 25.4 inches and a nut width of 1 11/16 inches. The original Martin hardshell case is, of course, included.

Visit the C. F. Martin website for more details on the Martin J-40!
