❌SOLD❌ Douglas Harrison CJ 16 Archtop Guitar, 2019 – With New Video!

Here’s an excellent brand new Douglas Harrison CJ 16 custom archtop guitar, in Spruce and Red Maple with a Lollar Gold Foil pickup!   Check out the  “Standards with Friends #17” video with Matt Stevens playing the guitar listed here, and Ben Wendell on Saxophone. 

The Harrison CJ 16 is a single-cutaway, 16 inch wide archtop with hand-carved top and back plates, as suggested by the ‘CJ’ for ‘Classic Jazz’ name. Top quality Spruce and Red Maple are used for the body, and a three-piece Maple neck carries a Macassar Ebony fingerboard. The body, neck, headstock and pickguard are bound with Roasted Maple, and the bridge and tailpiece are Macassar Ebony.    Fretwork is impeccable, and the fret wire is Stainless Steel, so wear should be slow.

This is a custom model, and the custom spec is the two inch body depth rather than the standard three inch depth.

For hardware, Schaller M6 tuners are at the head, and a Lollar Gold Foil pickup is wired to controls on the pickguard, and out via an endpin jack at the tailpiece.

The scale length is 25 inches or 635mm, and the nut width is a comfortable 1.75 inches or 46mm.  The guitar’s weight is a very comfortable 5.5 pounds, or just 2.5 kilos!

The original Harrison branded case by Armitage is included, as are Straplocks and F-hole plugs. 

Douglas Harrison builds custom archtop electrics at his one-person shop in Toronto, and also plays in small jazz groups around the city.
