Brand: Ernie Ball MusicMan
Instrument Categories: Bass, Electric, Guitars, SOLD, Solidbody
The Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Bass Guitar rests between a short-scale 6-string bass, like Fender’s Bass VI, and a Baritone guitar. Using a 29.625 inch scale length Maple neck (the Bass VI was 30 inches) paired with a Poplar body, the Silhouette Bass Guitar also has a pair of DiMarzio custom splitable humbuckers, Schaller tuners, and Music Man bridge. It is designed to be tuned to E or A, with the string gauges listed below.
This example of the Music Man Silhouette Bass dates to January 16, 2012 and was built in San Luis Obispo, California. It’s in good clean condition with minimal wear. The Pearl White finish itself is very clean. Ernie Ball Music Man often uses a gunstock oil finish on their necks, which does tend to darken with use. Fret wear is minimal, and this bass / baritone guitar plays well and cleanly.
The original hard shell case is included.
Here’s the builder on the Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Bass Guitar:
“A guitar for bass players, and a bass for guitar players, the Silhouette Bass guitar was developed to meet an ever-increasing need among today’s musicians for a special range of sound. Sleek and stylish, this one of a kind instrument will add a new dimension to any musician’s arsenal. “
