❌SOLD❌ Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Translucent Gold, 2011

The Ernie Ball Music Man Axis is a straight ahead model, built to reliably deliver rock performance – a Basswood body with Maple cap, bolt on Maple neck, a pair of humbuckers, and a Floyd Rose double locking system are the core components.

Introduced in 1996, the Ernie Ball Music Man Axis has been a popular design. It does exactly what it’s designed to do, and very well. The combination of a Maple capped Basswood body and Maple bolt on neck provide excellent tone, with lots of warmth but also clarity and separation. The double locking trem system locks the strings at both the saddle and the nut, and once the guitar is set up and new strings are stretched in, tuning stability is unequalled.  An EVH D-Tuna is stock on the low E, allowing fast detuning to dropped D. 

For electronics, a pair of custom wound DiMarzio humbuckers pass though a pickup selector toggle and a master volume control to an output jack. That’s it!

This Axis example dates to January 12th, 2011 and was built at the Music Man plant in San Luis Obispo, California. It is in very good condition with just the slightest wear. The Maple cap is nicely quilted, and it shares a Translucent Gold tint with the headstock face. Fret and finish wear are negligible.

The original Ernie Ball Music Man molded hard shell case is included.
