Instrument Categories: , , ,

This Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Special dates to July of 2001 and sports a distinctive Autumn Red Burst finish on the body and headstock front.

This is a great guitar, well designed and built using high quality woods and components, and Music Man finishes are very well done. It’s well balanced and compact yet full sized, and the oil finished neck is quite comfortable with good access to the upper frets. This example is in very good, clean condition with just one or two small pressure marks in the finish, not enough to break through it. It plays well and cleanly with very light fret wear. The bridge is ‘decked’ via the rear spring tension, and can easily be altered for full trem use. The Silent Circuit is a really good addition, and is powered by a single standard 9v battery, accessed on the back of the guitar.

The original rectangular molded hard shell case is included, and contains the case keys, trem arm and bridge height adjustment hex key.

Here’s the builder on the Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Special:

“The Silhouette Special features a stylish contoured alder body in a compact H-S-S pickup configuration. DiMarzio virtual PAF in the bridge and custom wound DiMarzio single coil pickups in the neck and middle deliver a wide pallet of tonal options ranging from hard edge crunch to bright shimmering highs. The Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Special also features a comfortable “C’ shape maple neck with 22 frets and is equipped with Music Man’s patented Silent Circuit for a hum-free single coil experience.”
