Fender Eric Clapton Signature Pewter, 2000 /*No Longer Available*

Brand:

Instrument Categories: , , ,

The Fender Eric Clapton Signature model first appeared as a production model in 1998, though the first were built for and used EC himself in 1986.

This model is based on Clapton’s ‘Blackie’ Strat which he’d put together from several Strats, but it’s not a slavish copy. Notably, it has a 22-fret neck, with a small fingerboard extension for the last fret and head-end truss rod adjuster, a TBX tone control (which requires a standard 9v battery, tucked under the pickguard) and Lace Sensor noiseless pickups. The vintage-style trem bridge is solidly blocked. The body is lightweight Alder.

This Fender Eric Clapton Signature example dates to 2000, was built in Corona, California and features the Pewter finish used on two of the original prototypes.
It is in very good, clean condition with one or two very light marks to the finish on the back near the tail end of the contour, and light fret wear.

A non-original hard shell case is included.
