The Twelfth Fret ~ Since 1977 ~

❌SOLD❌ Fender Telecaster Blonde, 1969

Instrument Categories: , , ,

Elegant in its simplicity, the Fender Telecaster from the beginning proved its versatility and extreme reliability. Though there have been many variants, it has been produced without any really major changes for over 70 years.

One of the strong points in the design of the Fender Telecaster is that it can easily be customized without compromising its performance. Over the years, many players have adapted their Teles to their own needs.

Here we’re looking at a Fender Telecaster in classic Blonde finish, with a neck stamp of 3AUG69B. The elements of this stamp are 3 (it’s a Telecaster neck), AUG (the month of August), 69 (made during 1969) and B (Standard width). This is a two-piece neck with a Walnut ‘Skunk Stripe’; the fingerboard is separate from the back of the neck, just as the Rosewood fingerboards were. The Walnut stripe covers the rear-mounted truss rod channel. It has been professionally re-fretted with the fingerboard refinished as part of that process. The result is a great-playing guitar with plenty of life left.

The body is Ash, and as is the case for many Telecasters has been the subject of some modifications. An extra pickup and extra controls were added and have been removed, and the cavities filled and finished over. A new pickguard was added as the original had been cut for the removed pickup. The original tuners are in place, and the bridge has brass saddles. Much of the finish is original and shows natural finish checking.

A modern, molded Fender case is included.
