❌NO LONGER AVAILABLE❌ Gibson ES-330 TD Thinline Archtop Guitar Sunburst, 1963

Instrument Categories:

The Gibson ES-330 TD was built from 1959 to 1971 and has a very close and better known cousin, the Epiphone Casino. As the Gibson 1963 version, the ES-330 TD features a thin, fully hollow body, a pair of P-90 pickups, sunburst finish, block position markers and a 24.675 inch scale neck joining the body at the 16th fret.

Built at the Kalamazoo, Michigan plant during 1963, this Gibson ES-330 TD is in overall good, complete and original condition. It has been played and used as intended so the finish has some minor wear and lovely natural checking, with moderate to heavy fret wear in some positions. Overall it’s in good shape with wear in the expected areas; it has not been abused or neglected though it’s definitely seen use.   It is currently strung with flat wounds.

These guitars have a unique feel. The scale length is very slightly shorter than ‘Standard Gibson’, but the big difference comes from the neck joining the body at the 16th fret. This means that the player doesn’t have to reach so far to for low position chords, and that makes many voicings much easier and less fatiguing. Looking at this guitar, there’s an instant association with both Keith Richards (who played a 1961 style Casino) and John Lennon (a 1963 model). The Casino and ES-330 models are functionally identical, and it’s not hard to see why these two rhythm players liked them.

A hard shell Gibson case is included.
