❌SOLD❌ Gibson Honeyburst Les Paul Standard, 2005

This Gibson Honeyburst Les Paul Standard was built during 2005 and is in very good, clean original condition with only light wear. At the time that this example was built, pickguards were not installed on models with figured tops, and the two mounting holes were not drilled. The original pickguard is not included and seems to be long gone.

Largely following the late 1950s to 1960 designs, this Gibson Honeyburst Les Paul Standard features a nicely figured and bookmatched Maple top on a one-piece Mahogany back. The neck is also Mahogany, with a bound Indian Rosewood fingerboard – this is the primary materials distinction as until the mid 1960s Gibson Rosewood fingerboards were usually Brazilian. The tuners are Kluson style with plastic keystone buttons. These look great, and are lighter weight than the Grover Roto-Matic alternative. The bridge is a ‘Nashville’ style tune-o-matic rather than the wired ABR-1; this is a definite improvement as the wire can rattle. The bridge is paired with a standard stop tailpiece. For electronics, a pair of BurstBuckers run through a pickup selector, and individual volume and tone controls to a side-mounted output jack.

Overall this guitar is in great shape with very light fret wear and correspondingly light wear to the back finish. The top’s light honeyburst is very attractive and shows off the figuring nicely. It’s very resonant and responsive.   And of course it plays well and sounds great!

The original Gibson branded black hard shell case by TKL is included.
