The G&L ASAT Classic continues Leo Fender’s original design, the classic ‘T-Style’ introduced in 1951. This example dates to 2004 and sports a redburst finish. The ‘ASAT’ name refers to a an ASAT (Anti-Satellite) missile system!

Drawing closely from Leo’s classic layout, the G&L ASAT Classic pairs a Swamp Ash body with a Maple neck, in this case with light birds-eye figuring. The top edge of the body finish colour coat is scraped to give the appearance of binding. Sealed G&L branded tuners are at the head, leading to the familiar ‘ashtray’ style string-through-body bridge with six fully adjustable brass saddles.

The electronics include a pair of single coil pickups with adjustable polepieces, selector switch and master Volume and Tone controls.

This ASAT Classic is in very good, clean condition with only very light wear. The finish is in particularly good condition. The action is comfortable and the guitar plays cleanly.

The original rectangular molded G&L branded case is included, and contains the original warranty card.
