Godin Montreal Premiere HT Sunburst, 2016

Brand:

Instrument Categories: , , ,

Introduced in 2013 at the winter NAMM show and still in production, the Godin Montreal Premiere gas a thin trestle-braced arched top body and is ideal for jazz players.

There are several configurations of this guitar. The Godin Montreal Premiere HT and Pro are the ‘Hard Tail’ versions of the model, while the LTD has a Bigsby B70 true vibrato tailpiece.

This Godin Montreal Premiere HT example is in very good, clean condition, dates to the first months of 2016 and was built at the Godin shops in La Patrie, Quebec with a mixture of domestic and imported woods. The top, back and sides are locally sourced Wild Cherry laminate with a Trestle or ML bracing system that supports and damps the body while reducing weight, and provides anchor points for the stop tailpiece. Several modern Gretsch guitars use the ML system as an evolution of the late 1950’s Trestle bracing used on 6120 models for feedback rejection. The neck is Mahogany and carries a bound, Indian Rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. The tuners are Godin branded and mated with a standard Tune-o-matic style bridge and stop tailpiece set. The pickups are by Seymour Duncan with a pickup selector and master volume and tone controls.

This Godin Montreal Premiere HT is sold with its original Godin-branded hard shell case.
