❌SOLD❌ Hans Schmidt Classical Guitar Brazilian Rosewood, 1980s

Instrument Categories: , ,

Here we have a Hans Schmidt Classical Guitar, built in Rock Creek BC during the 1980s and featuring a lovely Brazilian Rosewood set for the sides, back and head plate.

While there isn’t a lot of information available,  Hans Schmidt apparently built classical guitars and Celtic Harps during the 1980s and 1990s in his workshops in the southern central area of British Columbia,  at the lower end of the Okanagan Valley, not far from the Canadian border.  This is a spectacular area!

This Hans Schmidt classical follows the standard Spanish pattern for classical construction, using a ‘slipper heel’ design where the sides slot into the heel.  The top is Sitka Spruce, paired with a Brazilian Rosewood set for the sides and back and bridge; excess pieces were used for the head plate.  The body block and neck are Mahogany,  with Ebony for the fingerboard and neck stiffener.   Tuners are Schaller classical models, with gold colouring.   A passive piezo pickup has been installed to the endpin jack.

This wonderful hand built guitar from a small shop is in good condition,  with definite visual appeal.

A black hard shell case is included.
