The Martin 000-15SM is based on one of the oldest and for a time largest Martin body shapes, first appearing in 1902. The name breaks down to a 000 body with 15 style trim, the S indicating a 12-fret neck and the M, Mahogany. It also has a slotted peghead, which allows for a steeper string path from the nut without tipping the head back further.
Three woods are used to build the Martin 000-15SM – Mahogany for the top, back sides, linings, body blocks and neck, Indian Rosewood for the headplate, bridge and unbound fingerboard, and Sitka Spruce for the bracing and back strip.
This Martin 000-15SM was built during the first half of 2013 at Nazareth, Pennsylvania and is in overall very good, clean condition with only light fret and play wear.
The original Martin badged black hard shell, flat top case by TKL is included.
