National NRP-B Hollowneck – Black Rust!

Brand:

Instrument Categories: ,

The National Reso-Phonic company regularly introduces new models and finishes. The Twelfth Fret is one of National’s largest dealers worldwide; this is the first production National NRP-B Hollowneck we’ve received, and is the fifth production NRP hollowneck made.

National Hollowneck resophonic guitars have a spectacular sound – have a listen to the Hollowneck Report featuring Burke Carroll.

The National NRP-B pairs a standard National Steel body with a hollow mahogany neck and bound ebony board, mother of pearl dot markers. On the hollow neck models, the neck is clad with the same steel as the body. While the fingerboard is fretted, the frets are for tradition and guidance only; they will never wear out or require service for playability reasons.

Shown here is the 12-fret hollowneck model; the 12-fret design moves the bridge, and hence the resonator, further back towards the center of the body, for fuller, more commanding sonic output.

As stock, the National NRP-B has a nickel tailpiece and strip gears with black buttons, and no pickups. We can on request install an appropriate pickup system.

The 12-fret model is shown here; this moves the bridge, and hence the resonator, further back towards the center of the body, for fuller, more commanding sonic output. This incredible instrument is also available in 12 and 14-fret regular neck models.
