SOLD!! Pattison Pattiphone Walnut Frailing Banjo, 2019

Instrument Categories: ,

Here’s a Pattison Pattiphone Walnut Frailing Banjo featuring a wooden tone ring and 12-inch pot, built during 2019 near Guelph, Ontario.

The Pattison Pattiphone is a relatively simple and lightweight instrument, and very well built. The pot is Maple with Walnut and Maple overlays, with a hand-laid tone ring section of possibly Padauk or Rosewood. The neck is Walnut with a Maple center strip, with a moderate stain and oil finish. The headstock features a bookmatched, figured Walnut covering and solid truss rod cover. The fingerboard is Ebony with a full Frailing scoop, a very nice Celtic-themed engraved Mother of Pearl inlay set, and three capo tacks. Wear is very minor, and this banjo is in very good, clean condition.

Sold with its original Superior ‘Bump’ style hard shell case.
