The PRS Custom 24 is the direct descendant of the original PRS model, with the elegantly distinctive shape and classic Maple and Mahogany construction. Produced since 1985, the Custom 24 offers excellent playability and highly versatile tonal options.
Here we have a PRS Custom 24 in Translucent Red built during 2003 at the Stevensville, Maryland plant. As standard for this model, the carved, figured Maple top is paired with Mahogany for the back and neck, and Indian Rosewood for the fingerboard. The reliable PRS vintage style trem was installed on this example, and the stock PRS locking tuners are at the head. For electronics, a pair of PRS humbuckers run through master volume and tone controls, and there’s a 5 way rotary switch for pickup selection.
This guitar is in overall good shape, with some dings and dents on the finish and one small dent in the rear of the neck between the 4th and 5th frets; this could be filled so that it could not be felt. Fret wear is minor, and the guitar plays very nicely.
The original PRS hard shell case is included.
