❌SOLD❌ PRS S2 Vela Solidbody Tobacco Burst, 2015

The PRS S2 Vela is a solid Mahogany set neck, straight ahead guitar somewhat reminiscent of some 1960’s solid bodies but with modern features and PRS versatility.

In all original, very good condition, this PRS S2 Vela was built during 2015 at the PRS shop in Stevensville, Maryland. It combines a nicely contoured Mahogany body with a Mahogany set neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Position markers are Mother of Peal dots inlays. For hardware, the Vela offers PRS low mass locking tuners and the top-load PRS Plate bridge with two brass saddles. The neck pickup is a Type-D Single coil, clearly based on the classic deArmond single coils used on many 1950’s guitars, particularly those by Gretsch and Guild. The bridge position has a PRS Starla pickup, which can be split using the push-pull Master Tone control knob. Finishing up the electronics, there’s a Master Volume and a side-mounted output jack. The finish is what PRS calls ‘McCarty Tobacco Sunburst’.

This PRS S2 Vela is in rather good clean condition with only very minor wear,  and is sold with its original PRS gig bag.  It’s very comfortable to play given the light weight and body contours, and has a bright, snappy tone.
