❌ Sold ❌ Stonebridge MFS F-Style Mandolin by Frantisek Furch, 2009

Instrument Categories: ,

Following the classic F-Style mandolin concept pioneered by Orville Gibson and Lloyd Loar, the Stonebridge MFS-24-FS model hits all the points. Dating to September 18 2009 and built in a town south of Brno, Czech Republic, this is a lovely mandolin.

The Stonebridge MFS F-Style Mandolin uses a carved spruce top, carved flame maple back, and flamed maple for the sides and neck. The bound headstock and fingerboard, and the bridge are all ebony. The body features a distinctive scroll at the upper bass bout, and an echoing scroll cutout on the headstock. Typically, this design wears a sunburst finish hearkening back to violin family origins. The headstock features a lovely, tasteful deco-influenced vine inlay executed in Mother of Pearl.

This Stonebridge MFS F-Style Mandolin is in very nice condition with only slight wear. It plays well, and sounds great.

Stonebridge was founded by Frantisek Furch, who had always been interested in building. With the opening up of the Czech Republic, Furch began attending trade shows and has developed an international distribution network, SGI for Stonebridge Guitars International, to promote sales in Canada and the United States. These are high quality instruments from a growing company and very worth looking at.
