Weber Bitterroot A-Style Mandolin Amber, 2007 / *No Longer Available*

Brand:

Instrument Categories: , ,

Here we’re looking at a 2007 Weber Bitterroot A-Style mandolin, built in Logan, Montana during 2007. Weber moved from Logan to Bend, Oregon in 2013.

The Bitterroot A-Style series features thin, minimal decoration, wood figuring and finishing yet with Weber’s full build and materials quality.

This example is in overall good clean condition, with Sitka Spruce top paired with Maple for the sides, back and neck; the fingerboard, head plate and bridge are Indian Rosewood. Here, the original bridge is in the case, and has been replaced with an Ebony model. A K&K Pure Mini pickup set has been installed to an endpin jack.

The original Weber-branded hard shell case is included.

Here’s the builder on the Weber Bitterroot A-Style mandolins:

“The Bitterroots have a new thinner Faded Amber finish. With our advanced deflection monitoring and Hand-Voicing the Bitterroots have more chop and volume. Available in Mandolin and Octave Mandolin body shapes.

The Weber Bitterroot A is named after Montana’s state flower, whose fleshy roots were used extensively as food by the Native Americans, Lewis and Clark, and the pioneers and mountain men that followed. The Bitterroot Mountains follow the border between Idaho and Montana.”
