2010 Wren Concert (consignment) No Longer Available

Comments David Wren has been one of Canada’s premiere builders for decades, along with stints doing repairs at The Millwheel in downtown Toronto and being part owner of The Twelfth Fret.

This 2010 Wren Concert is in excellent condition and is a fine example of David’s work. Impeccable build quality and attention to detail, the best available materials, and an excellent hand-rubbed French Polish finish combine in a visually and tonally spectacular instrument.

Serial Number 1210197, built during 2010 at David Wren’s workshop in Toronto, Ontario.
Pricing $4,999.99 CAD with Ameritage Deluxe case.
Neck Mahogany neck with ebony-bound ebony fingerboard, Wren inlay at the 5th fret. 25.4 inch scale length, 1.75 inch nut width.

Finish French polish finish – hand rubbed shellac. Many premium builders use french polish now; while this technique does not give the glassy surface of sprayed lacquers or urethanes, the thin, satin coating protects the wood while allowing nearly unrestricted vibration, and is much more easily repairable.
Hardware/electronics Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, bone nut and saddle.
Playability/Action This guitar plays wonderfully, and has a broad range with sparkling trebles and full depth. The action is currently set to 4/64ths treble and 5/64ths bass.
Case Ameritage Deluxe case included.
