Serial Number 434364, built 1966 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Pricing $1799 including case.
Neck Mahogany neck with unbound rosewood fingerboard. The headstock was broken and solidly repaired many years ago.
Frets Original frets, with significant play wear.
Body Maple laminate back and sides with fully hollow construction.
Finish Nitrocellulose gloss lacquer finish in Cherry sunburst, with walnut stain on back and sides.
Hardware/electronics Twin Epiphone mini-humbuckers, Bigsby vibrato unit, Kluson deluxe tuners with plastic buttons. Tune-a-matic bridge on rosewood base. Pickup selector switch, individual volume and tone controls. Oversize output jack plates – having the jack on the side of an archtop is a weak point.
Playability/Action Plays well with standard action height.
Case Non-original case included in price.
Comments The Sorrento was Epiphone’s take on the ES-125 TC line, but with their mini-humbucking pickups rather than P-90’s and with an available Bigsby. This is a very comfortable guitar to play.
