S/N: S784815, built during 1959 at the historic Gibson Parsons Street plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The Gibson ES-125T, the thin body version of the popular ES-125 built since 1941, appeared in 1956 as an entry level electric archtop guitar.

Using the same body shape as the the ES-125, the ES-125T had a thinner body, no cutaway and a single P-90 pickup in the neck position with volume and tone controls. The cutway versions started to appear in 1960. A trapeze tailpiece, rosewood bridge and 3-per side Kluson strip tuners rounded out the hardware.

This example is in overall good condition, with expected and natural lacquer checking, and a bit of jean-rivet rash on the back near the lower bass bout. Fretwear is moderate, with a fair amount of wear to the fingerboard in the lower positions. A pair of dot position markers have been added to the 14th fret position, as part of a repair to the heel, and with that the back of the neck has been over-sprayed. A non-original, dreadnought sized hardshell case is included.
