The Fender Bassman amplifer first appeared in 1952 as a companion to the new, groundbreaking Fender Precision Bass. First in combo format, in 1961 the amp and speaker sections were separated in response to rapidly rising volume requirements.

This 1964 Fender Bassman amplifier head is from the 'Blackface' period of 1964 to 1966. These are great sounding, solid amps that were the backbone of many lineups. This amplifier is all original with the exception of a grounded AC cord and replaced grille cloth.
