There are many Martin D-35 examples, because it's always been a popular guitar. However, this one comes with a bit of Canadian history - it likely appeared on some of the last year's episodes of Don Messer's Jubilee.

Don Messer's Jubilee was broadcast from 1957 to 1973, and was a musical variety show based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and during the mid 1960s was the second most popular television program in Canada - the top spot going, of course, to Hockey Night in Canada. The show ended in 1973 following Don Messer's death.

This 1972 example of Martin D-35 production was shipped around May of 1972. As expected, it has normal play wear, and lots of natural lacquer checking on the top. The neck angle is good - the action height is very comfortable. It has had at least a partial refret, and there is light fret wear.

The guitar sounds great - it's full, crisp, responsive and projects well. It has lots of volume. A pickup has been installed, with its battery pack on the neck block and and endpin jack for output.
