S/N: 655977, built during 1975 at the Fender plant in Fullerton, California.
The Fender Stratocaster Hardtail is the lesser known sibling of the Fender Stratocaster with vibrato bridge, and both were introduced in 1954. The hardtail version is now discontinued.

This Fender Stratocaster hardtail dates to 1975 and features a maple neck and sunburst finish. It's definitely been used as intended, enough to need a refret and wear the replacement frets. The finish on the fingerboard is worn, and during the refret the fingerboard was not refinished but there was some touchup on the edge of the fingerboard. The pickups have been replaced with DiMarzio humbuckers, and the original pickups and pots are in the case.

The finish is original but the top may have been oversprayed at one time long ago, and an attempt was made to remove the overspray. The resulting scratches appear to have been buffed out.

Overall, this guitar plays well, and has the extra 'snap' of the hardtail bridge. A gig bag is included.
