2004 Gibson Les Paul Custom Wine Red (STOLEN)

Unfortunately, this lovely Gibson Les Paul Custom serial number CS40453 has been stolen. It had a a very clean Wine Red nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and was built during 2004 at the Gibson Nashville Custom Shop. If you encounter this instrument, please contact us at sales@12fret.com.

The Gibson Les Paul Custom was introduced in 1953 as the 'Black Beauty', and featured a full mahogany body - no maple cap - and an Alnico 'Staple Top' pickup at the neck position. Over the years, it gained the maple top found on the Les Paul Standard versions, but has multi-layer bound top, bound back and headstock, an ebony fingerboard and gold hardware.

This 2004 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Wine Red was built at the Gibson Nashville Custom shop, the year that Les Paul Custom production moved to the Custom Shop. It has a nicely flamed top and is in very good and clean condition,with minimal fretwear, and comes with the original case.
